Service Description

Brainspotting is a type of therapy that helps people process and heal from trauma, stress, and anxiety. It was developed by David Grand in 2003. Here's how it works: Key Components: Eye Position: The therapist helps the client find specific eye positions, or "brainspots," that activate the brain's natural healing process. Bilateral Stimulation: The therapist may use bilateral sound or tapping to stimulate both hemispheres of the brain. Focused Attention: The client focuses on their internal experience, including thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations. The Process: Initial Assessment: The therapist and client discuss their goals and concerns. Finding Brainspots: The therapist uses a pointer or wand to help the client find the specific eye positions that activate their brain's healing process. Processing: The client focuses on their internal experience while maintaining the brainspot position. Release: The client may experience a release of tension or emotions as the brain processes the traumatic memory. Benefits: Reduces Trauma Symptoms: Brainspotting can help alleviate symptoms of PTSD, anxiety, and depression. Increases Emotional Regulation: Clients can better manage their emotions and respond to stressful situations. Enhances Performance: Brainspotting can improve focus, creativity, and overall performance. What to Expect: Deep Relaxation: Clients often report feeling deeply relaxed during and after sessions. Emotional Release: Clients may experience a range of emotions, from calm to intense. Increased Self-Awareness: Brainspotting can help clients develop a greater understanding of themselves and their experiences
